October! We're still waiting for the tenth month of the Gregorian calendar to be a golden one. At least the sunshine yellow top by Berlin-based fashion label Butterflysoulfire is offering something bright during these increasingly dim days. Looking at you from within this loosely knitted piece is Anna Mila, a New Face of Pars Management model agency. Her look is sceptic, but that's what it's like, being surrounded by a skeleton – especially if it's a reference to the death of Muammar al-Ghaddafi in October 2011. By the way, the reddish color of the costal arch is an inversion of a golden shade, the dictator's favorite color whereas the a gigantic turquoise "58" in the back is a reminiscence to Marco Simoncelli. The Italian motorcycle racer also died in 2011, during the Malaysian Grand Prix on 23 October; 58 was his number. The overall color palette is taken from the Opal, the gemstone of the month. So what's the message, you might wonder... well, that's up to you, but Derzeit hopes that looking at this tenth collage will encourage you to live the moment – life's just way too short not to. It's also too short for not dressing well – there's two more Berlin fashion brands worth discovering this year, so stay tuned and turn the pages.
