Past Friday evening Voo, the concept store in Berlin Kreuzberg, opened its doors for a private viewing of works by illustrator Sarah Illenberger, famous for her three-dimensional approach to the medium, whose works have appeared in newspapers and magazines such as New York Times, Wallpaper andNeon. Some of the concepts in Illenberger’s works are so simple and strong, self-explanatory, intelligent, and detail-obsessed that they function as single, unique art pieces, rather than simply underlining or visualizing the idea of a text. In preparing the in-store exhibition at Voo, curator Bilgen Coskun picked some of Illenberger's most famous illustrations such as the "Trendgemüse" (eng.: trend vegetables) and, amongst others, the "hairy apple", “salad dress” and “carrot lipstick”
