Eva & Bernard F/W 2012/13 presentation at the Studio during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin / 20.01.2012
As quiet and secret, discrete and unpretentious as Nait Rosenfeld and Roey Vollman (aka Eva & Bernard) presented themselves to be in the studio of the fashion week tent, the presentation itself was equally light-footed. If they’d asked me, I would have wished for more spotlights, attendance and brouhaha. Their models glided in a slow pace through the overheated room. Despite well meant efforts, the fall forest backdrop didn’t help to cool off the curious spectators. Before the photographers or audience had realized that the show itself had started, the models were already sneaking back to their white pedestals. They repeated this theater a few times in what felt like slow motion. We saw similarly unspectacular but harmonious and wearable looks: woolen cardigans with applied leather pockets, high waisted cigarette pants in rust-red and a parka that I started saving up for the moment I saw it. Maybe this label will be awarded with a proper runway show next summer. I dearly hope it for these two adopted Berliners.
